I love hats. So I couldn’t resist the temptation to use the title of the famous song…
Here we are in the dead of winter: pretty cold, but today also crisp and clear. So I took this selfie, wearing a woolen hat very warm and cozy (by Falconeri, great brand for anything knitted, a bit expensive but worth every penny). The perfect hat for a cold day.
But generally speaking, hats are great to complete an outfit. They are quite ladylike and so I would suggest them to any woman who would look good in them. I know, not every face is enhanced by a hat. But if yours is, than do it.
Different hat in the picture taken from my friend and colleague Isabella just outside our office building. She took it before I started tha fashion blog… she knew better than me!
The hat is a Borsalino. I need to thank my mother for that. I used to have another Borsalino, which she gave me fifteen years ago or so. A very sad day I lost it in the “La Rinascente” store (some salesperson threw it in the bin because it look worn out… would you imagine? A Borsalino has to look worn out…) and never had the courage to buy another one. But come last autumn my mother suggested to buy me one for my birthday, and here it is!
(The coat is Antonio Fusco (wonderful Italian stylist, great for coats and jackets that fit you perfectly; plus it has an outlet just outside Milan) and the woolen collar is Falconeri (it matches the cap, but I prefere to wear them separately).
