Keep it simple is my mantra.
I remember to have read that Coco Chanel used to say: before going out, look at yourself in the mirror and take away most of the jewels you have put on. Well, that could be true for everything you have put on…
The picture above is very typical of my style. The jumper is my own kinitting. I tell you something about it: knitting is a family tradition, so I learned it from my mother who had learned it from my grandmother who had learned it from my greatgrandmother, and so on. But what I like about doing my own jumpers is that I can decide exactly how long, how large, the lenght of the sleeves and all the details.
The skirt comes from a street market in Ancona (the tag had been cut off, so I don’t know the brand), and I like the bright color and the simple cut.
A note about colors: getting old I appreciate light colors more and more. Of course colors have to go with your complexion, but I woud suggest to keep it light!
Black tights go along with almost everything, as do the black boots (they are the ones by Doctor Marten’s).
I bet you like also the armchair… it is my grandmother’s. It is quite small, so it would fit any flat, even the tiniest. I had it upholstered with a classic but contemporary cover. It is cozy and confortable… ideal for knitting!
Thanks again to Giacomo Artale for the gorgeus picture!
