I said I was in need of an haircut, didn’t I?
Well, I still am. I promise I’ll go during the week and write about it.
In the meantime I have been thinking about hair. Hair and the inevitable process of ageing.
A few days ago, a friend of mine published an article on her blog, that went by the title “We all will die blonde” and tried to address one of the problems of ageing: grey hair.
She was quite pessimistic. I am not.
I personally dye my hair. I dye it a color very similar to my natural one, a light brown. I am quite happy with it. Of course there is some maintenance involved, but it’s ok. I have been thinking to let it grow gray many times, but then no, I decided not to.
There are many women who look wonderful with grey hair. Some of them even look younger, because they are more themselves than ever. There is even a blog call Grey is ok, from which I have stolen this image… And there are more than 50 shades of grey to choose from…
As almost always, there isn’t a rule that works for eveybody. Sometimes is difficult to make a choice, because of too many suggestions by magazines, Tv shows, people around us (even so called friends)… The only way out of it is to listen to yourself. Easier to say than do, I know, but always worth a try!
Another thank you to Giacomo Artale for the beautiful picture!
