This is not me, in case you wonder…
It’s the “librarian chic”, the new style by Gucci.
Oh oh, where are we heading to?
Don’t worry. I know I will never afford a Gucci dress (or even a bag, for that matter). I know I will never be that young again. But it is beautiful, isn’t it?
I read about the Gucci show today in The Guardian (not exactly a fashion newspaper) and I thought: I should write something about why it is important to look at the fashion shows, to take a look at the women’s magazines, to do some windowshopping… if you like fashion, of course. You do it because you get ideas and inspirations. Because you see and feel what is in the air.
I was surprised and impressed by this idea of the librarian chic (there’s even a website with that name, in Australia of all places…) and the look of the pictures I stole and posted. It is true that Gucci has a new designer. But think about the adverts in the magazines that had gone on for years. Quite different, aren’t they?
And I like this new image. I am sure it will help me to find new ways to combine what is already in my wardrobe, and to buy something new. You will see when spring will come!
