I guess you start to know my flat better than myself… here I am, sitting on my grandmother’s chair, in the living room. Wonderful wooden floor, isn’t it? In fact the flat is an old one, and must have been beautiful and grand; now has been cut in smaller flats, still nice and neat. But looking at the high ceilings and the polished wooden floors, I think how splendid and warm and gorgeous it must have been in the old times…
But there is something else you have to know: I love stripes. Any kind, any colour, any fabric. Just give me a stripy something and I am happy (so to speak, of course). The T-shirt you see in the picture (doesn’t it look a bit better than the usual?) comes from J.C.Crew and is one of my favourite. I wear it very often, but not too often ‘cause I am afraid to wear it out and not to be able to replace it! Last summer when I was in California I went to J.C.Crew store, hoping to find a similar one, but I couldn’t. And we don’t have J.C.Crew stores in Europe. Maybe next summer I will be more lucky!
And then I am wearing a pair of Gap jeans. They are boyfriend cut, which usually a comfortable and flattering shape. They come already rolled up, I just had to roll them a little more, since I think, as I must have told you before, that on small women short trousers look better.
As for the brogues, I like them a lot. But since they tend to be serious, at least the black classical ones like mine (from Max Mara), I like to wear them with either jeans or cocktail dresses… just to do a bit of disruption!
