Are you surprised, my dear reader? I hope so…
Let me introduce Aldo. He’s the first of a series of people I would like to have as guest in my blog. Men, women, all over fifty but all with a style of their own.
The idea of having a men’s section in the blog came a few days ago when I was with my friend Laura. She is fervently hoping of becoming my personal assistant the day I will be so famous, so rich and so overwhelmed to be in need of one. She’s already working on it! And I am grateful to her!
Aldo is in fact a cousin of Laura. I have met him twice or three times, enough to appreciate his style and to be happy to have him as the first man guest. He represents quite well the men’s way to be chic after fifty: a relaxed approach, a personal touch, a strong and different element in an almost classical ensemble.
Aldo, who works for the newspaper Il giorno, to me looks perfect. He bought the trousers in a little market in Orbetello (similar to the one where I go in Ancona); the tie comes from a store in Milano, AD56. The shirt is an old one so the label is unreadable, and the jacket has this complex caption: Tweed Lanificio Subalpino Biella, Thomas Neals, made in Italy; the cardigan underneath is WP. I adore the eyeglasses, which Aldo bougth on eBay; no brand, but they are American. I don’t know about the picture, but it’s a very good one!
Do you want to be my next guest? Send me a picture along with your story and all the details about your style. I will be the only judge to decide to publish it or not… so be careful and cross your finger!
Have a nice day!
