To be honest with you, I am not incredibly satisfied of this outfit. Can you tell it from my expression? I thought about it yesterday evening… I suppose it happens to you to, while getting ready for bed, to think about what to wear the day after. Since it had been raining for days, I really wanted to wear a skirt. And I had bought some coloured tights. So the one you see (or should I say you glimpse?) in the picture is the combination I came up with. And when I shoot the picture and I thought, well, I don’t like it very much, well, it was too late to change!
You have seen the skirt already, is the one I bought in the little market in Ancona and I wore whent Giacomo Artale was taking those gorgeous pictures of me (I know, you miss them, and so do I). No logo, as Naomi Klein would say. Did you read any of her books? I loved “No logo” very much, and I have the new one in my iPad. But I have so many books lined up to be read that I really don’t know when it will come its turn. Una rivoluzione ci salverà, is the title in Italian.
But let’s return to the outfit. What you barely see in the picture are the variations on the colour. The skirt is a bright purple, while the top is a dark purple (Max Mara is the brand) and so are the tights (Philippe Matignon, probably the best brand for tights, a bit expensive but worth). The cardigan is a light grey cashmere I bought in the Matucci outlet: very good place, you should visit it when you come to Milano. Excellent quality products, they will last a long time; I particularly love their coats, but the cardigans and the twin-set are also nice, as men’s sweaters and gilets. The brogues are the Max Mara ones you have seen with the jeans on Saturday!
Finally, what can I say: even the fashion guru get wrong!
I’ll do better tomorrow, I promise!
