Well, it is common knowledge that spring has strange side effects.
So this morning when I woke up, first of all I realized I wasn’t tired as I usually feel at the beginning of a new day. That’s because I am trying to go to bed earlier than my usual, in honour of Marcel Proust and the beginning of his grand and lovely novel In search of lost time: “Per molto tempo, mi sono coricato presto la sera” (For a long time, I went to bed early).
I woke up and took a shower and dried my hair and went to the wardrobe to decide what to wear. Remembering yesterday and the unsatisfying outfit, I hadn’t planned anything the day before. In fact , I had already discovered that it doesn’t work, but sometimes I forget and keep imagining the way an outfit would work. Just to be proved wrong once again. You think the difference between reality and imagination should be clear to the human race by now, shouldn’t it? And yet no, we still imagine things, events, behaviours, and act as if they were real… with very unwanted consequences!
Anyway. I felt this desire to wear heels. And yes, I did say I usually don’t wear them. I don’t even possess many shoes with high heels. So I chose the black ankle boots you have seen me wearing with the denim skirt, the ones I bought at Marco in Milano. And I am really happy about my choice.
What else do I wear? You won’t see it, no selfie today… again it’s something simple: the black lace skirt I bought from Pimkie, a stripy blue-white cotton cardigan, gift from my friend Cristiana, who’s also my co-blogger at www.ciabattine.net, and a dark blue woolen cardigan. Very straightforward, but very feminine and stylish because of the high heels. You have to believe my word!
Have a nice day!
