Driving makes me think in a productive way. This morning I was on my way to the office when I started to imagine today’s post.
Maybe because it is a beautiful day. Maybe because on my desk there is the book “How to be a parisian (wherever you are)“. Maybe because all of a sudden I felt like wearing lipstick (and not mascara). Maybe because of the light… I decided to write about beauty: how to enhance your own and keep it long after fifty.
Beauty is inside, I have no doubts about that. But it has to show outside, and make up can work wonders.
Here are my very personal ideas about make up (can you see how hard am I thinking?)
The more you grow old, the less make up you should use. No foundation (I have never used one, by the way), for a start. Blush according to your skin (mine doesn’t have a nice color so I always use some): the best is to apply a small quantity and refresh it every now and then, but I am not very good at that, so I am a little too generous in the morning. Black mascara. Or a lipstick. Using both has always seemed too much to me.
As for skincare, I am sure it is very important but I am very basic: a good moisturizer for the day (at the moment I am using Skin Perfection Trattamento Idratante by L’Oréal) and a nourinshing cream for the night (I am addicted to Aquaphor by Eucerin).
And what about hair? I already wrote something about dying it. Apart from that, being recognizable in the pictures as “the one with the messy hair”, you can guess I love a natural style… very parisian!Do you have a different opinion and want to discuss it with me? Have a nice day!
