Here I am in Torino, and no, this is not the reading yet, and no, I am not shouting, just talking to my friend Riccardo Barbagallo of the blog Gli amanti dei libri, who has kindly accepted to take this picture of me in front of the entrance of the Lingotto, where they used to produce the Fiat cars and where it’s annually held the Salone del libro.
The outfit I have chosen is a “keep it simple” one, and also comfortable because believe me it was a long day. But a wonderful one. I had work to do, of course, but what I love about the Salone del libro is that I get the chance to meet in person many of the people I usually communicate with only online. And I know is obvious, but there is nothing like the human touch, and the talking face to face. I have also to confess that I am always surprised and flattered how gentle and affectionate these people are towards me…
And then there was the #ZeroGradiDiSeparazione reading, a very intense reading event organised by Francesco Musolino, the creator of @stoleggendo. 9 couples, each one having chosen a theme and a passage from a book and reading it out loud. I was a wonderful experience… let’s do it again, Musolino!
Ooops… I forgot the outfit: black cotton trousers by Gap, white T-shirt by Hanes, black long sleeve T-shirt by Zara, mini trench by Uniqlo. The bag you see in the picture above, where I getting ready for the reading (yes, I could have closed the bathroom door before doing the selfie…) is the one by Kate Spade I bought last summer in California. And the Barrito shoes, which have been noticed and admired all over the Salone!
Have a nice day!
