Just a few thoughts before leaving Milano for the States.

I have been cleaning the photo section of the telephone, and so I went through most of the selfies I have taken during the last few months, since I started this blog (January 26).

Apart from the change in the device, which has made a lot of difference, it has been interesting to see the changes in myself: many are subtle and may be significant only to me, but I think there is an overall feeling of change in my looks, my attitude, my pose. Which correspond to a change in my inner self. Actually I am pretty sure it goes the other way around: the change originates inside and then appear outside.

But I think that this blog, with the #selfieinthekitchen theme, the constant care, the creation of a little story every day, the search for a meaning in the daily business of life, has been more important than I thought.

And the fact that I don’t have a set anymore means I have started to look for different perspectives in my kitchen: what do you think of this one?

I am wearing the lovely stripy pants (Dixie) I bought in Livorno, a bottle green T-shirt by Banana Republic (bought last summer in California) and a little cardigan (Weekend by MaxMara). And believe me, it feels really great to be able to wear a cardigan, after the heatwave we had! By the way, I just downloaded a book by Maggie O’Farrell called “Instructions for a heatwave”… it is going to be one of my summer readings!

Have a nice day!
