It is Saturday the 19th and I am celebrating 30 years since the death of Italo Calvino, one of the authors I love the most and certainly one of the few Italian writers to be translated and read and taught in the United States. He also spent a certain amount of time there and taught at some universities there.
But he wrote wonderful books, and this is what I am celebrating. He left us so much to enjoy and to study, that this Saturday in September is also a day of rejoice. He certainly could have written more, had he lived more…
And I am in Livorno, having my friend Isabella to take a picture of me. I am wearing some basic American things: a pair of jeans (Gap), a white T-shirt (Hanes). I have the leather jacket by Daniel & Meyer, and the LeBabe ballerinas. Bag and belt are by Orciani. A keep it simple or back to basic kind of style (of which you know I am fond of).
Have a nice day!
