Last saturday I was at a concert by the Rejoyce Gospel Choir, and at one point the guy who was leading the show, a very pleasant presenter, said that often God give us a gift wrapped in a problem. Meaning that we have a challenge, a question, a something for which we need to activate our mind and our body and to use all our resources (especially the ones unknown to ourselves). At the end of the process we will be enriched and fulfilled and we will have learned something precious and unique.
I am neither a believer nor an atheist, but that sentence and that concept stuck with me and reappeared this morning.
But don’t worry, I am not goingo to pester you with my worries. This is a fashion blog, isn’t it?
And this not even the explanation for the Dr Martens combat boots I am wearing. First of all, are they really combat boots? In Italy we call them “anfibi”. The frog is an “anfibio”. So how should I call them? Anyway I am also wearing the cropped pants I love, with a heavy handmade sweater. I am particularly fond of this sweater, because I made it with a wool I bought in Cortina, in a store called Moessmer where my mother used to buy us lodens, those Tirolese winter coats that come in dark green or grey. Well, I use to hate them, there have always been out of fashion, plus we lived in Pisa, quite far from the Alps… nevertheless, it is a fundamental part of my life, and I am fond of it!
Well, with this certainly #50chic and #chicafter50 outfit, I wish you a nice day!
