Chic After Fifty

I have spent a few days in Rome and the city is just wonderful. The buildings, the museums, the art, the sky, and the light over everything else. The light has a sweet and delicate quality which is unknown to our belovoed Milano, even in the best of days. Light here in the north of Italy could be brilliant and sharp, and beautiful, but it will forever different from the light in Rome.

And what about the way people dress? It may be related to the light, but people in Rome dress in a more colorful and flashy way. I think it is also related to the fact that they live in a gorgeous city, that the Government is there, that it is the capital, that many things started right there… Nothing to do with the Milanese sobriety!

But I am happy with my sobriety, I am telling you. I couldn’t take the usual #selfieinthekitchen, today, because the iPhone was in a bad mood again and refused to find the remote control… I got so annoyed I decided to make a different post! Anyway, if you want to know, I am wearing a grey skirt with a stripy green T-shirt and a bottle green sweater. Plus my usual Airwalk by Dr Martens boots. You can easily imagine my #chicafter50 and #50chic allure.

But truth be told, this seagull has an allure folle!
