Oh yes, you see a big smile on my face… sometimes it’s really necessary!

I am in the kitchen, as usual, and I have something very new and something very old.

The trousers are brand new, I bought them last saturday in Livorno: it was a long time I didn’t have a pair of stripy trousers, so I was very happy when I found these! They are slightly large (I could have bought a smaller size, but I like to be comfortable and don’t really care what size I wear) so I put a foulard as a belt: a solution I quite like!

I know, they vaguely resemble pajamas… that’s way they needed a jacket on top. But it wasn’t easy to find a color that went with the stripes, and I ended up with this very very old linen jacket. I think I have had it for 20 years or so… it must have been very good quality! It’s true that I don’t wear it that much, and that some summers I probably didn’t wear it at all, but still, 20 years of service is not bad, isn’t it? I believe the brand, Flanella grigia, doesn’t exist anymore!

The trouser are Dixie, the T-shirt is Hanes and the espadrilles are unbranded.

Have a nice day!
