Don’t get too excited, I am not talking of a première like the ones in Venice or Rome. It is just a special show: since Hunger Games is taken by a book published by the publishing house I work for, I am invited along with some bloggers and journalists.
I don’t think I would have gone to see Hunger Games on my own, so this is a good chance to discover something new! Are you aware of the debate that is currently going on on Facebook, about having only friends that are like you, reading and listening and seeing only things you like, hence reducing the world well inside your comfort zone? It is an interesting subject, and I believe everyone of us swings between the desire of different things and the love and comfort of what we know well.
Generally speaking, the world provides us with surprises enough… you just need to keep your eyes and ears open!
So I will be going to see Hunger Games. I am wearing a new jacket I bought in Ancona (very fruitful trip to the “bancarelle” as you can see): again, if you told me I would have bought a sequined jacket, I would have told you “forget it”. But then I spotted this one (Germano Zama), very simple but with sequined details… and I bought it! Denim skirt (Banana Republic), stripy cardigan (Gap), stockings and boots are the usual ones. Isn’t this outfit perfectly #50chic and #chicafter50?
Have a nice day!
