Today’s smile is a real one. I woke up very restored and the sun was coming up and the light was still and crisp. It is cold, but a pleasant cold. I was happy to stand in front of the iPhone to take the #selfieinthekitchen. Even the iPhone behaved!

Yesterday I had been to the opening of the exbition “Il nuovo vocabolario della moda” at the Triennale. You can’t imagine how many people were there. Mostly the fashion crowd. I would have liked to have the opportunity to sit somewhere and watch. The effort to be different, to be ahead of fashion, to astonish, to be noticed, was wearing most people out.  I felt they were more interested to the judgement of other people that to find their own voice.

Then I went to have a drink with my friend Laura, and then I went home and finally went to bed relatively early: I think it is necessary, every once in a while.

I still have some black clothes that I like, like this lace skirt. I bought last year in Livorno at a Pimkie store where I went with my friend Patrizia. I keep a sweet memory of that day, and I have use the skirt quite a lot last winter. I am wearing it with a light blue T-shirt I bought last summer in Pasadena, a black handmade cardigan, and the black Airwalk by Dr Martens boots. I feel #chicafter50 and #50chic, and much much warmer than yesterday!
