Yeah, the cold was an unexpected gift from Rome. Not a gift wrapped in a problem. Just a plain gift. It will pass soon enough. My grandmother’s doctor used to say that if you cure a cold it will pass in a week, if you don’t it will pass in seven days… that’s philosophy for you!
And how am I to define this #selfieinthekitchen? With the words of Leonardo da Vinci: “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” Actually, I am not at all sure he said or wrote something like that, but I like it!
Simplicity is certainly something I love and cherish. Today I have written my weekly piece for Giorni Moderni, about the ideal make up after fifty. I would say that simplicity is the keyword: lots of care but very little make up!
I am wearing the lace skirt I bought at Pimkie in Livorno last year, along with a blue wool T-shirt by Max & Co and a handmade bluish sweater. Blue stockings and ankle boots by Zara. What do I like about this outfit? The visible superposition of layers… I find it very #50chic and #chicafter50, but it is also my signature style, if I may say so!
Have a nice day, and be patient about the new blog… I am still working on it!
