Good morning from my kitchen! We are going backward, in terms of weather, here in Milano… It happens quite often in May, though. There are a couple of weeks in which you think “summer is here!” and you take top tanks and shorts and cotton cardigan and espadrillas and sandals out of the boxes on top of your wardrobe or wherever you keep them, and you put away sweters and cardigans and you take coats and jackets to the dry cleaner and oops, once you are finally done, the weather turns cold and rainy again!
But I don’t dislike the mix and match that the incertain weather allow me.
Today I am back to my green “soprabito”, which I like a lot. Underneath I have a grey silk sweater I made myself: it is made of a wonderful soft and luminous silk, but it is the kind of sweater not warm enough if it’s cold neither cool enough when is hot. A grey T-shirt by Gap (a dark grey and a mix of cotton and linen), grey trousers by Benetton and my usual Barritos complete the outfit.
Let me add a little note: I have started to contribute to the collective blog Giorni Moderni. You’ll find me there every saturday, writing about chic after fifty in Italian… did I already tell you? Maybe yes. But the romans used to say “repetita juvant”…
Have a nice day!
