Chic After Fifty

Yesterday I was invited to a friend’s house in a village outside Milano. It’s not countryside yet, also because the outskirts of Milano are very huge, but it’s very close to the Parco delle Groane, a beautiful green area north of town.

I went there in the afternoon, and we had planned either to take a walk or to bicycle somewhere. Then I was to remain for a dinner on their balcony.

How to dress? I needed to be comfortable but I couldn’t wear sport clothes… also it was warm and cloudy, a strange weather, really. I opted for the Calvin Klein jeans which are light and stretch, a long T-shirt (I bought it last winter near Verona, when I was going to the mountains and had forgotten the tracksuit bottoms; I spotted the T-shirt in an Esprit store and loved the colour and the touch, incredibly soft) and a tiny cotton cardigan (Pennyblack) of a beautiful green… I do love green! I also took my grey ConverseAll Star from the summer box.

We decided for a bicycle ride, at the end, and it was very nice. My friend Isabella very kindly lent me a bicycle and lead me through the Parco delle Groane and even took some pictures of me! So no selfie in the kitchen for today…

And then she made a tasty dinner that we enjoyed on the balcony, chatting with her husband into the small hours… because today I am not working!
