I have spent the week-end in Livorno (it is not the first time, I know you know, but I have friends and I am also studying something there) and it was very hot but pleasant, and I came back only this morning (went from the train station straight to the office) and I didn’t have my selfie stick and remote control… so no selfie for today!
How to entertain you?
I thought is interesting to note how differently people behave and dress in a place where the see is in town… meaning that Livorno is not only a port, but has also a beach resort just in the hearth of the city! It’s called Bagni Pancaldi and I believe it’s been there for more than a hundred years…
And people dress differently. First of all they are all tanned. Then they seem to be either going to the beach or coming back from the beach… and in the evening the gather on the promenade, with a beer or an ice-cream. Their style is relaxed, holiday like: shorts and flip-flops and little dresses during the day; long dresses and sleaveless top, more shorts, platform sandals. Sometimes you spot a bit of exhibitionism, especially in young people: shorts too short, too much muscles… but I guess it comes with the lot!
When I go to Livorno, I always wonder how it would be to live in a seaside town: a flat with a balcony overlooking the sea, to run or bike on the promenade along the sea, to be always tanned… wouldn’t it be nice?
But well, now I am back in Milano, back in the office, and back to work!
Have a nice day!
