7.30: alarm. Shut the fan down. Open the windows completely, let the fresh air in. There were thunderstorms on the mountains, maybe they pushed some air down the plain surrounding Milano. Don’t think about the heat.
Shower. Pure pleasure. I am not thinking about the heat.
Breakfast: orange juice, fruit salad with yogurt, coffee and a few biscuits. Wish I had left the little table on the balcony. Now there is a beach chair: ok for night reading but not for breakfast. Outside it is not so hot.
Dressing: a T-shirt, light and large (H&M); a skirt, not tight, not long (Mango); high heels, to feel chic (Marco’s espadrilles). A couple of light necklaces. A little cardigan just in case the office gets cold (it won’t).
Smiling. Being resilient means you know it’s hot, you don’t like it, you feel tired, you are not doing things you should be doing (sew the cotton sweater you have knitted for your sister, you have 8 days left; iron a few white shirts you can’t otherwise wear), but you live. Quite well. Knowing that in a while all this heat will be forgotten, as so many other things…
Have a nice day!
