If, let’s say a year ago, you had asked me what I thought about ponchos, I would have smiled, remembering the old times when ponchos were cool and rebellious, and told you no ways, I don’t like them.
And then one day, in California, hanging around in a Costco shop to do some shopping for the North Shore Landing Marina (which my sister manages, over there in Big Bear Lake), I spotted a poncho. A very simple one. Very soft. I though it could have been useful at home: my flat is a real freezer, and to write and read in the cold is quite unpleasant. It was also cheap. I bought it.
And then I came back to Italy, and all of a sudden ponchos were back in fashion. Moreover, I was liking them!
Had I sensed the trend? Probably yes, considering how many womens’ magazines I leaf through…
Finally, today I realized how to wear that poncho, outside my home!
Look at this #selfieinthekitchen: you can’t see it but I am wearing a black T-shirt (too old to have the label still), a beige sweater with short sleeves (an inheritance from a friend), the leather jacket by Daniel & Mayer, and the poncho over everything… Ah, the jeans are Gap, the loafers Brecos, the bag Valextra: nothing new under the sun, but all nice and faithful things!
Another outfit I am very satisfied of!
Have a nice day!
