Yesterday I was cold. I was cold in the office because I had forgotten that this is the usual way on Monday, after the heating had been down all weekend. I was cold on the way back home because, yes, it is a mild kind of autumn, but it is November.
So I had already decided to put on something more wintering, like a beautiful blue jacket you won’t see today so you have to believe me. And you know I love blue. And I have this pretty blue skirt (Zara) which I hadn’t worn for months but I felt would have made a very #50chic and #chicafter50 outfit.
I started from the skirt: it is quite girlish, but this is the way I feel, today. A sort of lightness and insouciance I associate with girls, even though I know it is more the idea adults have of girlyhood than the actual reality. Anyway, the skirt is pretty and goes with the flat ankle boots (Zara again) and thick blue stockings (a suggestion: always buy good quality stockings, they cost more but they last more and the texture and color are better). A stripy T-shirt and the grey/blue sweater I made myself, and I am ready!
Ready for the #selfieinthekitchen and for the train and the people I meet there, for work, for other meetings, for Instagram, for the blog, for the gym, for whatever is going to happen today.
Have a nice day!
