Today I really wanted to wear a skirt, but I also wanted to wear a white shirt. In particular I wanted to wear this new white shirt that I just bought from Zara.

I have a special love for white shirts. I love them simple with a twist. And this one is the perfect exemple. It has a small collar (which is one of the essential requirements), two pleats near the collar and a pleat in the back. So it looks large without seeming the wrong size! And I like the elbow lenght sleeves.

Being the shirt so large, I needed a pencil skirt to obtain the right proportions. Did I already tell you my theory that a big top needs something tight underneat, while large trousers or full skirts need a small top? Well if I didn’t, now you know!

The pencil skirt comes from H&M. I know in this moment it doesn’t do a great favour to my legs. Bare legs without tan and not being young anymore is a risky business… but I decided to take it. Because you know, sometimes you just have to do what you feel like, and not to take care of what people would think and say (or what that small nasty voice inside yourself would say, the one always criticizing you… you know what I am talking about, don’t you?)

And then since yesterday I went for a long long walk with the wrong shoes so that my feet are quite sore, I decided for a pair of espadrillas (I don’t know the brand of these). I love them too!

The bag is the Orciani one.

Have a nice day!
