Chic After Fifty

So, yes, I am back!  Back to Italy, back to work, back home, back to #selfieinthekitchen!

Have you been missing me? I am sure you have!

What about me? I have not really missed writing the blog every day… well, a bit. As I told you before leaving, it is really an experience that has changed me more than I thought. But I really needed a break from everything, even from what I love.

And now I have very mixed feelings!

First of all, I have been away for such a long time… more than a month! I think it’s been since I was studying at the University of Florence that I didn’t have such a long holiday!

And then having been in America, I have really lived in another world. As soon as I landed yesterday I had this feeling of estrangement. It will pass, I know, but it takes a while. As it will take a while to collect memories and experiences from the holiday and give them a shape, or to realize what changes have taken place and form during this long month.

In the meantime I am back to blue and stripes! Pants you have already seen, bought at the little market in Ancona; silk jacket you have already seen, bought in Milano, by Fatto a mano; Converse All Star you have already seen; red bag you have already seen, by Kate Spade New York, bought last year in California; and a stripy T-shirt, which you won’t have seen, even though it look like all the other stripy T-shirt I have… it is part of a gift card my sister gave me, to be used at Gap or Banana Republic or Old Navy, This T-shirt is Old Navy.
