These culotte or cropped pants are very difficult. I didn’t realized it when I bought them, a couple of weeks ago at Zara. I bought them along with the ecoleather ones, and I would have though just the opposite. But while the ecoleather cropped pants are similar, in shape and lenght, to a skirt, these are more like pants.

I have not decided if I like them or not. But I had to try! You know how clothes work: unless you wear them you don’t know how the feel and make you look.

I went for something very simple, to match the pants: a grey T-shirt (Gap), a cropped sweater (home made), black stockings and black classic brogues (Max Mara).

And it was when I started to pose for the #selfieinthekitchen that I realized how strange the pants looked… not very flattering, yes. Probably not #50chic or #ChicAfter50. Noticeable, thoug. I also remembered when I was young and used to deliberately wear very unusual clothes: I am still the same! I completed the outfit with a jacket, a poncho and the Borsalino. I won’t walk away unnoticed!

Have a nice day!
