Yesterday it was a beautiful day and some friends of mine had organized a bicycle ride near Milano. We took the train to Cassano d’Adda, a beautiful little town built along the Adda river, with an ancient castle and grand villas from the eighteen century and a lot of green, and we followed the Naviglio della Martesana, heading back into town in the afternoon.

We had a picnic in Gorgonzola, another sort of village nearby Milano, with a very nice park, the setting of the picture.  No selfie in the kitchen… wait until tomorrow!

How to dress for the day? Consider that the weather forecast was very good, but the temperature is still quite low. Moreover, it is this strange season in which if you stay in the sun is very hot but as soon as you get in the shadow you feel suddenly cold… So it’s onion dressing!

I am wearing a simple T-shirt by Old Navy, trousers by REI’s own brand (bought last summer in California), the type you roll up and fix at knee lenght, my Merrell sneakers. At the beginning of the day I was wearing also the orange windbreaker I had when I bought the wine in Ancona (by the way, I haven’t drunken it yet, I should throw a party very soon), and in the picture I am using it as a picnic blanket!

Well, it was a splendid ride and a wonderful day. Thank you to the organizers (I don’t mention their names but I will send them the link to this post) and thank you Paola for the picture!

Have a nice day!

ps I can’t tell you anything about the sunglasses, because they just appear in my flat… maybe they are my sisters’… she will tell me!

[…] blue cardigan by Pennyblack and my jacket by Manila Grace. Instead of the Barrito shoes, I have the Merrell‘s. So nothing that you haven’t seen before, but in a slightly different combination. […]
